Kyetta May was hired in 2020 as an academic advisor and learning specialist for the Towson University Athletic Department, in Academic Achievement.

Before joining the Tiger family, May worked as an education facilitator in Columbia, Maryland.

May has spent several years in the college athletics realm, she was the head coach for women's volleyball at Coppin State, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and Kentucky State. Most recently was her time at Coppin where she served for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. She was at Arkansas Pine Bluff from 2012-15, before her post there she spent six seasons at Kentucky State.

At Kentucky State she led her team to the 2011 SIAC Western Division Championship and Conference Championship. 

Before her time at Kentucky State, May was an educational advisory at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis from 2004-07. May spent two seasons as the head volleyball coach at Harris-Stowe State from 2004-06. While working in St. Louis she spent a season as the girls volleyball coach at Clayton High School.

May led her student-athletes to several accolades in the classroom and on the court during her collegiate coaching days. 

A 2002 graduate from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University, May was a volleyball player from 1998-01, serving as a team captain her senior year. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in environmental science. May later earned her master of arts in education degree, magna cum laude, from Lindenwood University in 2009.
