Towson University graduate and former student-athlete Matthew Death has joined the Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) as the Assistant AD for Development starting in July 2019. He also serves as sport administrator for the track & field programs.
 
Death comes to TAF with several years of experience in the Greater Baltimore area, working with corporate and non-profit organizations across the city.
 
He returns to Towson after being the Vice President of Corporate and Business Partnerships for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore.  He was the primary fundraiser, obtaining and maintaining corporate partnerships with several companies.  He coordinated all organizational events and led resource development, including submissions of grants.
 
Previously, Death was the Coordinator of Community Relations for the Baltimore Orioles, working with community partners, supervising players for various events and appearances plus managing the Baltimore Orioles Reviving Baseball Program.  He earned the NAACP Baltimore City Branch Rev. Dr. Harvey Johnson President’s Award and the 2014 MSABC Service to Baseball Award.
 
He also previously worked for the Baltimore Ravens as a mascot escort and at Loch Raven High School as a track & field sprint coach.
 
Death graduated from Towson in 2006, earning a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.  He competed in track & field for the Tigers, earning all-conference honors in the 2003-04 season.
