Lyons joined Towson as an associate athletic trainer in July 2025. She primarily works with women’s lacrosse.
Lyons came to Towson from George Mason University, helping evaluate sports injuries and providing care plans for the athletes. She also did weightlift lab tests and recorded injury trends for student-athletes.
Lyons has several certifications as an athletic trainer, mobility specialist and rehabilitation sports performance.
Merrily worked as a massage and bodywork therapist for three years at Aspire Sports Therapies in Greensboro, North Carolina. She performed different therapeutic message treatments to help patients. She collaborated with sports medicine staff for UNC Greensboro sports teams, providing massage therapy services for athletes.
Merrily Lyons graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. Lyons studied at North Carolina School of Advanced Body Work to train as a professional massage and bodywork therapist.
