Returning to the area in 2021 as a direct hire of the worldwide company leader in digital display technology, Daktronics, Pete Hock will serve as the Event Producer for the Towson athletics department at Johnny Unitas® Stadium and SECU Arena, working contests for football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and men’s lacrosse.
He comes to Towson after a three-year stint as a Technical Media Producer for WWBT, the NBC television affiliate, in Richmond, Va. Prior to that, he was hired in 2006 as the Associate Commissioner of Broadcasting for the Colonial Athletic Association, overseeing the television operations for the Division I conference’s football and basketball broadcasts and served as a liaison for the conference to the broadcast entities and the CAA’s member institutions.
Before moving to Virginia, he was the production manager of the Baltimore Ravens’ video board operations at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md, scheduling the weekly game-day content as well as assisting in the team’s Emmy Award winning weekly television program, Ravens Report. One of his career highlights was being a traveling member of the team's first championship in 2001, garnering a prestigious Super Bowl ring for his production work.
Hock’s 13-year video stint began as an editor, producer and director for the Baltimore Orioles’ video production staff at Memorial Stadium and later at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. He served as a video content producer for the Final Weekend at Memorial Stadium and Cal Ripken’s 2,131 Consecutive Game Streak celebration events, as well as the 1993 MLB All-Star Game and 1996 & 1997 American League Playoffs.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Media/Communications from Loyola College, currently Loyola University Maryland. Born and raised within miles of campus, he strives to make the Towson University game days enjoyable and informative.
