Tyler Maxwell joined Towson Athletics in June 2023 as an athletic trainer, primarily with Towson’s sports clubs.
Prior to Towson, he worked as an athletic trainer for Caldwell University from August 2021 – June 2023. At Caldwell, he worked with their sprint football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball teams.
From August 2019 – August 2021, he worked at JAG-ONE Physical Therapy. He worked per-diem for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse before transitioning to working as an athletic trainer. As an athletic trainer, he worked primarily in their Bridgewater and Woodbridge clinic locations.
From August 2018 – August 2019, Tyler worked as a graduate assistant for East Stroudsburg University. At East Stroudsburg, he worked with their football team during the pre-season. He also worked with their women’s soccer and baseball teams. During summer camps, he worked with their soccer, baseball, women’s lacrosse and field hockey teams).
Tyler also has three athletic training licenses from the Mid-Atlantic region. He earned his Pennsylvania Athletic Training License in August 2018, his New Jersey Athletic Training License in August 2019 and most recently, his Maryland Athletic Training License in August 2023.
From August 2016 – May 2018, Tyler worked in several clinical rotations for Crestwood High School, King’s College and Misericordia University. He primarily worked for fall and sports, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s golf, women’s basketball and women’s tennis.
Since December 2016, Tyler has been a member of the following: the National Athletic Training Association, the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey.
Tyler graduated from King’s College in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. He then received his Master’s in Athletic Training with Concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice from East Stroudsburg University in July 2019.
