Victoya Smith joined Towson in the summer of 2025 as an assistant coach for the track & field team.
Smith joined Towson after graduating from Alabama A&M University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Primarily a sprinter for the Bulldogs, she served as team captain and left her mark in the record books as the school record holder in the 60m dash (7.49).
During her career at Alabama A&M, Smith earned All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) honors in 2023 and 2025, highlighted by podium finishes in the 60m dash at the Indoor SWAC Championships – third in 2023 and second in 2025. At the 2025 Outdoor SWAC Championships, she led her 4x400m relay team to a first-place finish. Off the track, she was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to Alabama A&M, Smith competed for the University of Alabama, where she qualified for the 2022 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Indoor Championships in the 60m dash. She also ran on the Crimson Tide’s 4x400m “A” relay team at the SEC level and was a member of Alabama’s SAAC.
