Zach Brown joined Towson in November 2024 as an assistant coach for the track & field team focusing on sprints and hurdles. 

Brown comes to Towson after spending three seasons as the head coach of cross country and track & field of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Delhi where he was named USTFCCCA 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Niagara Region Men's Coach of the Year. Brown designed and implemented the training for men's and women's sprints and hurdles including the strength and conditioning program.

In total, Brown coached three USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Niagara Region Men's Track Athlete of the Year honorees, 10 Track & Field NCAA Championship Qualifiers, four NCAA First-Team All-Americans, one Second-Team All-American, 26 USTFCCCA All-Region recipients, five North Athletic Conference (NAC) Track Athlete of the Year honorees and four NAC Rookie of the Year selections. He also won NAC Men's Track & Field Conference Championships and NAC Coach of the Year honors in 2022 and 2024.

In addition to his time at SUNY Delhi, Brown spent time as assistant coach of track & field at Colgate University, Stevenson University, Dickinson College and Marywood University.

Brown graduated from SUNY Brockport in May 2014 with a degree in kinesiology, earning his Master's Degree in education in Dec. 2015. Brown was also a standout track & field athlete; he was a two-time All-American, anchoring the 4x100 relay with a career-best time of 40.72. He won State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) team championships in 2015. Individually, Brown recorded SUNYAC victories in the 400 meters and 4x100, as well as ECAC victories in the 4x100 and 4x400, and broke five school records. Brown's accomplishments saw him named to the SUNYAC 2010-2020 All-Decade Team.
