WASHINGTON, D.C. - Looking to earn a split of their two-game weekend trip, the Tigers faced an American squad that was playing its first game in over a week. However, the Eagles got off to a quick start and held off the Tigers for a 1-0 non-conference victory at Reeves Field on Sunday afternoon.
Senior forward Krystn Hodge scored the game's only goal in the ninth minute while senior goalkeeper Kelsey Wiggins made three saves en route to her second shutout of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Jocelyn Papciak made a season-high six saves for the Tigers, who were outshot by an 18-10 margin. Junior forward Erica Marshall had four shots to lead the Tiger offense.
The Tigers will continue their four-game road trip on Friday evening when they face Princeton University at 7 p.m.
