Good morning Tiger Nation and welcome to the Morning Roar.
Today is Thursday and you know what that means. Another
episode of Tiger
Talk will return to the airwaves tonight at 6 pm. You can join hosts Spiro Morekas
and Damon Lewis (@TowsonTV_Damon)
at Bill Bateman's Bistro in Towson. If you can't make it to Bateman's you can
catch Tiger Talk right here on TowsonTigers.com via the Towson Sports
Network. Joining Morekas and Lewis
will be @Towson_FB Head coach
Rob Ambrose as well as @Towson_FH
Head coach Michelle Webber.
Let's
Unleash the Roar
TowsonTigers.com had a chance to catch up with @Towson_TFXC Head coach Roger Erricker and find out how the team is preparing for their upcoming meet at
Delaware.
@Towson_SWIMDIVE
is getting set to host their annual Alumni
Meet and Bull Roast on Sept. 29. The meet takes place in the Burdick Hall
pool starting at 1:30 p.m. and the Bull Roast will start shortly following that at 5:30 p.m. I
know Head coach Pat Mead LOVES this event and it is sure to be another good
time had by all.
@Towson_WSOC might be 0-6-1 on the season but as
Towson Sports Network's Damon Lewis learns, you
shouldn't let the record fool you. They will be looking for their first win
of the season when they hit the road to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers Friday night.
A lot like @Towson_WSOC,
@Towson_FH is still searching
for their first win of the season. Both teams feature a lot of youth, as Milton
Kent discovers—in the latest installment of A
View From Kent Road—field hockey co-capitan Megan Penza spends a lot of
time with younger people, both on the field and off.
Countdown
to William and Mary
Two days. We are a little over 48 hours away from kickoff
against William and Mary.
Yesterday TSN had a chance to catch up with Head coach Rob Ambrose and see how
the team is preparing for the Tribe.
It will be a special day for all those in attendance to see
the Tigers face off against the Tribe. Not only will the game be televised on
National TV, yes you did read that correctly, National TV but it will also be
the unveiling of the 2011 Football CAA Championship banner as well as the 2012
Women's Lacrosse CAA Championship banner.
But that is not all. With the 11th anniversary of
the September 11 attacks still fresh in our minds the Tigers are calling
Saturday “Hometown Heroes Day.” Members from the National Guard, Wounded Warrior
Project, Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, Towson University Veterans
Services, Fort Meade and the Baltimore Country Police and Fire Departments
will be all taking part in a pregame ceremony to honor this great country
that we live in.
