TOWSON, Md. – After starting off their season with two home victories, the Towson University women's swimming and diving team travels Old Dominion on Saturday, Oct. 25 for a meet at 1 p.m.
The Tigers opened their dual-meet season by defeating Georgetown (231-69) and William & Mary (167-127) on October 11.
"After having a great meet two weeks ago we are looking to build on our success," Head Coach
Pat Mead said. "The meet will be very competitive on both sides and we will need a team effort to win."
Junior
Charlotte Holz led the Tiger effort, winning the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.46), 200-yard backstroke (2:04.35) and 200-yard individual medley (2:06.40). Holz earned her first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Swimmer of the Week award of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The Tigers were also successful in diving, winning both the one- and three-meter. Junior
Molly Arceri scored 304.03, a personal best, to finish first in the one-meter event while senior
Lyndsey Dickson earned a score of 293.40 to capture the three-meter victory.
Arceri also finished in second place for the three-meter event, she scored a personal best of 281.85. Her diving scores qualified her for the NCAA Zone Championship and earned her a CAA Women's Diver of the Week award. The award was her first of her career.
The Tigers will return to action as they travel to George Mason for a two-day meet that also features College of Charleston and Northeastern, beginning Friday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.
