TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University women's swimming and diving team travels to George Mason for a two-day quad meet, featuring will Northeastern and College of Charleston, and the host Patriots.
The two-day meet will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 and will continue at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.
"This will be a great opportunity for our swimmers and divers to compete against some of the best competition in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA)," Head Coach
Pat Mead said. "We will need a team effort and a desire to win if we are to continue our streak of undefeated CAA dual meets. The opportunity is there and I am confident our women will make the most of the weekend."
Towson improved to 3-0 after defeating Old Dominion, 182-118 on October 25.
Sophomore
Macey Arnold led the Tiger effort, winning all four events that she swam in. She earned a first-place finish in the 100- (52.05), the 200- (1:51.37) and the
500-yard freestyles (4:58.67). Arnold also swam on the 400-yard freestyle relay team that won with a time of 3:30.21.
Seniors
Amanda Barber and
Victoria Oslund also won multiple events for the Towson team.
Barber finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.88) and swam anchor on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:44.76). She also swam on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay that finished with a time of 3:30.21.
Oslund took home victories in three events; the 100-yard butterfly (56.30), the 200-yard butterfly (2.02.07) and as part of the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.76).
The Tigers will return home to host George Washington on Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning at 1 p.m. Â
