TOWSON, Md. - After competing in the Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational at the Naval Academy on Sept. 19-20, the Towson University women's tennis team will travel to Mount St. Mary's for its first dual match of the season. The match will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.

"We are a young and hungry team," Head Coach
Doug Neagle said. "The girls are really looking forward to their first dual match. Coach Hubbard and I are curious to see how they will compete in the dual format. They have been working hard though so they just have to trust their training."

Last season, the Tigers defeated The Mount by a 7-0 score. Seniors

Cailey Easdale and sophomore
Sophie Lesage all earned singles victories last season against Mount St. Mary's. Lesage and Dow also partnered to earn a doubles victory for the Tigers.

At the Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational on Sept. 19-20, the Tigers gained valuable early season experience against tough competition.

Barbora Vasilkova advanced to the consolation championship match in the 'B' singles flight by defeating Lehigh's

Jane Awad.

The doubles teams of Dow/Vasilkova and Easdale/Gomer both reached the semifinals of the tournament's 'A' and 'B' doubles flights, respectively.

The Tigers will continue their fall tennis schedule at the Navy Tournament on Friday, Oct. 10.
