Four McGlynn sealed the win with a pair of free throws.
The Tigers (4-1) looked like they would suffer their first loss of the weekend as they trailed by eight points with just 2:26 remaining. But, the Tigers turned up the defense and scored the final eight points to force overtime.
A.J. Astroth scored in transition, and
John Davis scored in close to bring the Tigers within three. With just 12 seconds left, McGlynn drew a foul on a three-point attempt and hit all free throws to force overtime.
The Tigers came out hot in the early moments of the first half as McGlynn knocked down a pair of three pointers to help open a 10-4 advantage.
The Hawks (2-2) had an answer out of the first media timeout as Andrew Nicholas connected on three of his five first-half three pointers to give MU a 21-14 advantage.
The Tigers would fall down by as many at 16 points in the first half, but allowed just two points over the final 2:50 of the first half to cut the deficit to 41-29 at the half.
McGlynn led the scoring with a career-high 27 points on 5-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc, and 6-of-7 from the foul line. Davis registered his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Astroth also had a career day with 22 points, and
