BALTIMORE, Md. -- Towson Athletics and CBS Sports Radio 1300 have agreed to a partnership in which the Baltimore-based station will carry every Tiger football and men's basketball game during the 2014-15 season, Towson Director of Athletics Tim Leonard announced on Monday.

In addition, the partnership will also allow Head Football Coach Rob Ambrose and Head Basketball Coach Pat Skerry to make weekly appearances on 105.7 The Fan during their seasons.

"I'm thrilled to announce this partnership between Towson Athletics and CBS Radio," said Leonard. "With the recent successes of our football and men's basketball programs, this partnership will allow us to reach a wider audience of Tiger fans. The combination of having every football and men's basketball game air on CBS Sports Radio 1300 and Coach Ambrose and Coach Skerry making regular appearances on 105.7 The Fan will go a long way in strengthening our brand."

CBS Sports Radio offers around-the-clock national sports coverage and programming, harnessing the power and resources of CBS Radio and the award-winning CBS Sports.

"We are very excited to have Towson University joining the strongest sports brand in Baltimore," said CBS Radio, Baltimore Vice President of Programming Dave Labrozzi. "With the exciting things happening at Towson, we believe it's a perfect partnership and are thrilled to add them to our platform at CBS Radio, Baltimore."

The first Towson event to air on CBS Sports Radio 1300 will feature the Tiger football team's home opener against Central Connecticut State on August 30 at 6 p.m. Coming off the best season in school history in which Towson won a school-record 13 games and advanced to the FCS National Championship game, the Tigers will play 12 regular season games in 2014.

"Our new partnership with CBS is another great step in bringing together the proud and strong sports-minded community that is Baltimore," said Ambrose. "We have a passionate fan base that packs Unitas Stadium and even comes on the road to see us play, but now, no matter what, our fans can keep tabs on the Tigers."

Sports fans can also listen to each of the 31 regular season men's basketball games on CBS Sports Radio 1300. The Tigers are coming off a thrilling year in 2013-14 in which they won a Division I program record 25 games and the programs first two Division I postseason games while advancing to the quarterfinal round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).

"We are thrilled that CBS Sports Radio will play a big role in covering our program and telling our story this year," said Skerry. "It's an important partnership for us as we develop and promote our Tiger brand of basketball. If you can't be at SECU Arena or on the road with us in person, you need to tune in!"

The longtime voice of the Tigers, Spiro Morekas, will anchor coverage for both programs once again in 2014-15.
