TOWSON, Md. - Towson got 20 points from
Four McGlynn and a career-best 15 points and six rebounds from freshman

Free throws were again the story for the Tigers, but this time, Towson went 27-of-38 (71.7%) from the foul line. The team was even better down the stretch as they went 15-of-20 (75.0%) in the game's final five minutes. McGlynn led the way by going 12-of-13, while
Eddie Keith II went 4-of-5 and Morsell 6-of-9.

CofC (6-16, 1-8 CAA) fell behind by 16 points early in the second half before battling all the way to pull within 52-51 with 6:34 left to play.Â

The Tigers (10-12, 3-6 CAA) did not get rattled and McGlynn knocked down a three-pointer on the next possession.Â
Timajh Parker-Rivera then forced a steal that resulted in a foul at the other end. As the foul happened, the Cougars bench was hit with a technical foul. McGlynn knocked down all four free throws and the lead was quickly back to eight points with just under five minutes remaining.

After a pair of free throws would cut the lead to four, Keith II pulled down an offensive rebound and put it up and in to push the lead back to six.Â

The next minute of the game turned into a free-throw shooting contest. The Tigers would go 6-of-8 during the stretch to push the lead to seven points. Canyon Barry would then knock down back-to-back three pointers around a pair of McGlynn free throws to make it a three-point game with seven seconds to go.

Towson was able to get the ball inbounds and
Byron Hawkins hit a free throw to seal the victory.

The Tigers played one of their best first halves of the season as they used a 16-3 run to end the first half and take a 33-19 lead into halftime. Towson shot 11-of-22 (.500) from the floor and 8-of-11 (.727) in the game's opening 20 minutes.

Towson held a 42-26 advantage on the glass, including 13-7 on the offensive end. The Tigers outscored the Cougars 15-2 on second-chance points.

The Tigers have a quick turnaround as they travel to face Hofstra Saturday night. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. on the American Sports Network.
