WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Towson women's swimming and diving team won the Potomac Relays, held at the Reeves Aquatic Center on Friday afternoon.
Towson earned the first-place finish with 116 points. George Mason (108) was the runner-up while American (92) and Georgetown (90) followed.

HOW IT HAPPENED (RELAYS)- The relay team of Ryan Ulrich, Haley Sutton, Melissa Toy and Corie Morton won the 500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:40.49.
- Towson won the 400-yard medley relay as Macey Arnold, Christine Hammond, Hannah Snyder and Jenna Van Camp timed 4:04.69.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ulrich, Sutton, Arnold and Charlotte Holz finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:38.20).
- In the 3x100-yard backstroke relay, the team of Sutton, Arnold and Olivia Evans were the runner-ups, timing 2:56.78.
- Holz, Synder and Amanda Rosa teamed up in the 3x100-yard breaststroke relay, finishing second with a time of 3:23.19.
- The team of Sutton, Van Camp, Tara Goss and Arnold placed second in the 200-yard medley relay.
- Freshmen Dani Clark and Rhyann Lowrey earned a third-place finish in the 2x500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 10:38.28.
- In the 3x100-yard butterfly relay, Goss, Holz and Van Camp combined for a fourth-place finish (3:01.16).
- The all-freshmen team of Clark, Zeynep Balto, Lowrey and Grace Hansen swam exhibition in the 800-yard freestyle relay, timing 8:03.92.
HOW IT HAPPENED (DIVING)- Freshman Kelsey Jehl impressed in the one-meter event, earning a score of 258.00 for a first-place finish.
- In the three-meter event, Hannah Ostrem won with a score of 296.00.

Amanda Rosa put up the best swims for our freshman group.
"We will need more freshmen women to contribute if we are going to be competitive this year in dual meets," Mead continued.
"The addition of our diving points led to our victory at the Potomac Relay," Mead commented. "Our diving team will have a major impact on our success this year. We have always emphazied that we are a swimming and diving program. This result clearly indicates that statement."
The Tigers open the dual-meet season on Oct. 10 as they head to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival William & Mary.
