TOWSON, Md. – Home may be where the heart is, but for the Towson men's basketball team, it's also been a comfortable abode where the scoreboard has lit up like a pinball machine thanks to its high-octane offense.
The Tigers (7-4 overall) close out the non-conference portion of their schedule when they welcome Rio Grande (10-4) to SECU Arena for a late Sunday matinee. Towson will be looking to rebound from a tough 69-68 setback to FDU on Friday night.

About Rio GrandeRio Grande is a NAIA school that competes in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC). Rio Grande is located in southeastern Ohio near the Ohio River. The Red Storm have won five consecutive games following its 93-89 victory over Huntingdon Saturday afternoon. Over his last four games, D.D. Joiner has averaged 20.2 points per game to lead Rio Grande. Other top scorers for the Red Storm include Kevonta Black (12.8) and Dwayne Bazemore (13.4). The Red Storm have scored over 100 points three times this season. Rio Grande is averaging 45.6 rebounds per contest.
Home CookingTowson is 4-0 at home this season. The Tigers have been fierce through four home games, winning all of them by an average of 23.5 points per contest. They have won their last three home outings against Gallaudet, George Mason and Sacred Heart by at least 20 points.

PerfectionHawkins was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field during Towson's 69-68 setback to FDU on Friday night. He also made all three of his 3-point shot attempts. Hawkins scored a team-high 16 points, the fifth time this season he has led the team in scoring. For the season, Hawkins is averaging 15.1 points per game. He has led Towson in scoring in consecutive games.

The Tigers are second in the CAA in field goal percentage defense (39.5), scoring defense (64.0), blocked shots (5.1), and rebounding margin (+7.3).
