SERIES HISTORY: Towson resumes a rivalry with the Georgetown Hoyas Wednesday. The game will be eighth all-time between the Tigers and Hoyas but the first since the 2007-08 season. Georgetown holds a slim 4-3 edge in the match-up after a 67-57 win the last time these two schools met. Towson had won two straight before falling to the Hoyas at home during the 2007-08 season.
IT'S GOOD TO HOME: Wednesday's game is a homecoming of sorts for Towson Head Coach
Niki Reid Geckeler. Reid Geckeler played for the Hoyas between 1989-93.She still ranks 14th in career three-pointers made (87), third in three-point field goal percentage (.380), sixth in assists (378) and 19th in steals (161). As a senior, she helped Georgetown advance to the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
BANGING THE BOARDS: Redshirt sophomore forward
Jordyn Smith had a career day on the boards against Auburn. Smith pulled down a game and career-high 10 rebounds for Towson.
That bettered her previous mark of nine rebounds set during the 2014-15 season opener against Penn State.
GOING DEEP: Towson senior guard
Dominique Johnson continues to prove herself as a dangerous threat from outside. Johnson hit nine three-pointers at Minnesota. It was the second time this season and eighth time in her career that she has made five or more three-pointers in a single-game. Johnson has connected on 181 career three-pointers, which ranks second in school history. Her 71 triples last season ranked second in single-season history at Towson. Johnson needs 10 more three-pointers to break the school record for career three-pointers. The current school record for three-pointers made is 190 set by

Niki Reid Geckeler will see a familiar face when she looks at the opponents' bench. Georgetown Head coach
Natasha Adair was an assistant coach with Reid Geckeler on the Hilltop. The pair served together for four years under Georgetown Head coach Pat Knapp. The pair also got to face each other during the 2013-14 season when Adair was the head coach at the College of Charleston. Reid Geckeler and the Tigers took two of the three meetings that season.
TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER: Junior guard
Raven Bankston has provided the Tigers with a scoring threat during her first nine games. Bankston led the team with 19 points against Auburn and has now scored in double figures in seven of nine games this season. She has scored 20 or more points in four games, including a season-high 31 at George Mason. Entering play on Tuesday, Bankston led the Tigers and the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in scoring while averaging 17.7 points per game.
MISS ASSIST: The Tigers have proven to have a dual threat running the offense this season. Sophomore guard
Breonn Hughey and senior guard
Dominique Johnson have combined for 55 of the Tigers' 120 assists this season. Hughey has 29 assists this season and 162 assists for her career. Johnson has 26 assists this season and 287 for her career. She needs 13 more assists to become the 10th player in program history with 300 or more career assists.
