TOWSON, Md. – Five was the magic number following Towson University's solid 83-61 victory over Sacred Heart in a non-conference men's basketball game at SECU Arena Saturday afternoon.

Playing on the fifth day of December, Towson extended its winning streak to five games. Arnaud William Adala Moto led five Towson players in double figures with his second career double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds while Walter Foster added a career best 15 points.

How It Happened
  • Towson scored the first six points of the game and never trailed.
  • Towson led by double figures for the final 26 minutes, 59 seconds.
  • Eddie Keith III scored five of his seven points during a 12-0 first-half burst.
  • Keith III's monster one-handed dunk down the lane that shook the SECU Arena to its core was the centerpiece of that Towson run, which turned an 8-7 lead into a 20-7 advantage.
  • Towson's defense limited Sacred Heart's leading scorer Cane Broome to one point in the opening 20 minutes.
  • Walter Foster converted a pair of "and-ones" during a 12-2 burst late in the first half that swelled the Tigers' lead to 35-17.
  • Sacred Heart got scoring from three players in the first half.
  • John Davis ended the first half with a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded to give Towson its largest halftime edge of the season, 42-25.
  • With its 17-point advantage sliced to 47-37 with 15:49 seconds remaining, Towson put the game away with a 19-6 burst that expanded its bulge to 66-43.
  • During Towson's finishing flurry, Walter Foster and Adala Moto combined to score 13 points.
  • Timajh Parker-Rivera dunked off of pass from Adala Moto with 4:08 remaining that gave Towson its largest lead of the contest, 80-56.

  • This is the second time in three years that Towson has opened the season by winning its first four home games.
  • Towson is 6-0 when leading at halftime this season.

Parker-Rivera on Towson's defense
"We always pride ourselves on playing strong defense. It was great to have a nice defensive effort today."

Towson head coach Pat Skerry
"It was a good win for us and I am proud of the guys. We held them to 35 percent shooting and was plus 16 on the glass. I am pleased with the ball movement and I think we're starting to see some of the things that we talked about. In order for us to get to where we think we can get to, it's going to be a team effort."
