Tigers Visit Northeastern on Sunday

OPENING TIP: The Tiger women's basketball team is back in action as it travels to Northeastern for a 2 p.m. tip on Sunday, Feb. 8.

SERIES HISTORY: The Tigers wrap up their season series with the Huskies Sunday. Towson leads the all-time series 16-14 and has won four straight in the match-up.
When the two squads met in January in Towson, the Tigers claimed a 65-61 win behind a school record 12 three-pointers. Senior guard Ciara Webb had a career-high 27 points in the contest.

SEEING DOUBLE: Senior LaTorri Hines-Allen (14), junior Dominique Johnson (12), senior Camille Alberson (12) and senior Ciara Webb (15) all scored in double figures against College of Charleston. It was the first time since February 20 of last year against William & Mary that the Tigers had four players in double figures. Hines-Allen has now scored in double figures in 18 straight games, the longest current streak in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). Johnson has scored in double figures in two straight while Webb has in three of the last five games. Alberson has scored in double figures in three of the last four.

ALBERSON STEPS UP: Senior forward Camille Alberson has stepped up her scoring touch of late for the Tigers. Alberson registered a season-high 12 points, which is just two shy of her career-high. The Arlington, Tenn. native has now scored in double figures in three of the last four games for the Tigers.

GOING DEEP: Towson has made the three-point shot a part of its game plan during CAA play. The Tigers connected on 10 three-pointers in Thursday's game against Elon. Four Tigers hit at least one triple in the game and that group was led by senior guard Ciara Webb who had four. The Tigers have hit 79 three-pointers in 11 CAA games this season. Towson is currently second in the conference with an average of 7.2 triples per game. The Tigers have hit at least seven three-pointers in seven of their 11 CAA games. That includes a school record 12 triples in the win over Northeastern. Webb leads the way with 27 three-pointers in CAA action while junior guard Dominique Johnson has added 23 triples.

I'LL TAKE THAT: The Tigers recorded 10 steals on Thursday night against Elon. Seven Tigers posted at least one steal in that game as senior guard Ciara Webb led the way with three while freshman guard Breonn Hughey had two. Towson has now recorded 10 or more steals in a game five times, including a season-high 12 steals in its first meeting with Northeastern.

UP NEXT: Towson is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 12 for a special 12 noon tip. James Madison visits SECU Arena as the Tigers play host to local school children for the game.

The 2015 CAA Women's Basketball Championship will be held March 12-15 at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md. Call 1-855-TU-TIGER for your tickets.
