CHARLESTON, S.C. – Sophomore Colin Dyer went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and four other Tigers collected two hits in Towson's 19-8 loss to College of Chalreston in the CAA opener Friday evening.

Peter Bowles went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Brady Policelli and Brendan Butler each had two hits and two RBIs.  A.J. Gallo drove in a pair of runs and collected a pair of singles.  As a team, the Tigers collected a season-best 15 hits.

The Cougars (12-6, 1-0 CAA) got off to a quick start as they got a solo home run from Alex Pastorius in the first inning, and then got a grand slam from Bradley Jones in the fourth.

The Tigers (2-16, 0-1 CAA) got on the board in the fourth after Chris Henze doubled down the right-field line and scored on a Peter Bowles single through the right side.

Towson pushed across three runs in the sixth as Mark Grunberg singled and stole second.  Dyer drove in Grunberg with a single to center field.  After walks to Danny Caddigan and Policelli loaded the bases, Gallo drove in a run with an infield single and Butler walked to force in a run.

Policelli would walk with the bases loaded in the seventh to score another run.  The Tigers offense drew nine walks in the game.
