TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team will continue its six-game road trip by traveling to Loyola and Delaware for a pair of mid-week matchups. The Tigers will face Loyola on Wednesday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. before continuing to Delaware on Thursday for a 2 p.m. match.

Towson enters this week with an 8-8 record and 1-2 mark in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play. The Tigers are returning to action after a pair of matches last week in California. Towson dropped a 6-1 decision to California State Northridge before falling in a 4-3 heartbreaker to Colorado State.

Freshman
Nicole Shakhnazarova is leading the Tigers in singles play. She earned Towson's only point against Cali State Northridge before picking up her 15th singles victory of the season against Colorado State. Both of her wins came in straight-sets at No. 1 singles.

Loyola is coming off a 4-1 loss at Army in a Patriot League matchup. Junior
Emily Hughes earned the Greyhounds' only point in a straight-sets win at No. 3 singles. The match against the Tigers will be the Greyhounds first at the new McClure Tennis Center at Ridley Athletic Complex.

Delaware enters the conference matchup with a 3-3 overall record. The Blue Hens recently fell to Navy in a close 4-3 contest. Freshman
Arielle Shuren leads the Blue Hens with a 4-2 record in the No. 1 singles spot.

Towson will wrap up its road trip with a pair of matches against Coppin State and Bucknell. The Tigers will battle Coppin State on Sunday, March 29 at 9 a.m. They will then travel to Bucknell on Tuesday, March 31 for a 3:30 p.m. match.
