NEWARK, Del. – Towson used a 13-3 run late in the second half to turn a two-point deficit into a 79-77 victory over Delaware Thursday evening at the Bob Carpenter Center.

How it Happened
  • Trailing 64-62 with 4:22 to play, Mike Morsell knocked down his second three-pointer to give the Tigers a one-point lead.  The shot marked the 20th and final lead change of the game.
  • Arnaud William Adala Moto would help grow the lead by hitting 6-of-8 free throws over the next two minutes.
  • Towson would push its lead to five with late free throws before Kory Holden hit a half-court shot at the buzzer for the final margin of victory.
  • Byron Hawkins gave Towson a four-point lead just over five minutes into the second half by going on a personal 7-0 run.  He started his scoring with a pair of free throws before knocking down his first three pointer of the game.  He capped the run with a breakaway dunk.
  • The teams would not be separated by more than four points over the next 10:35 before the Tigers went on the late run.
  • John Davis got the Tigers off to a quick start in the first half as he went 6-for-6 from the line and scored 15 of his 22 points in the games' first 20 minutes.
  • Freshman Jordan McNeil knocked down a pair of three pointers in the opening half to help the Tigers take a 34-33 lead into the half.
