Towson Falls Short In Setback to Charleston, 40-37

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team permitted eight points over the final 13 minutes and rallied from a 10-point second half deficit during a tough 40-37 setback to the College of Charleston in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game Thursday night at SECU Arena.

Despite limiting the visiting Cougars (11-7 overall, 3-4 CAA) to 33.3 percent shooting, the Tigers (13-7, 4-3) had their winning streak stopped at two games. Towson got a team-high nine points and three blocked shots from junior Walter Foster. Junior William Adala Moto and senior Timajh Parker-Rivera combined for 17 rebounds for the Tigers.

"Charleston did a really good job defensively tonight," Towson head coach Pat Skerry said. "Our guys played hard, but I thought we fought some things tonight. However, as bad as we shot, we still gave ourselves a chance to win."
