TOWSON, Md. – The Towson women's swimming and diving program welcomes Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware at Burdick Pool on Saturday, Jan. 30 for a dual meet. Diving events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. while swimming will follow with a 1 p.m. start.

The meet is the Tigers' final regular season meet of the year and will serve as Senior Day. Towson will honor its eight seniors prior to the meet.

The 2015-16 senior class includes
Seana Acker,
Molly Arceri,
Christine Hammond,
Charlotte Holz,
Hannah Ostrem,
Hannah Snyder,
Natalee Szopo and
Jenna Van Camp.

The eight seniors have combined for 39 dual meet victories over their four-year careers and three-straight CAA Championship titles. The group also includes an NCAA Championship qualifier in Van Camp and two 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifiers (Snyder and Van Camp).

The Tigers are coming off a mid-week meet at Navy that also featured local rival Johns Hopkins. Towson split the meet, defeating the Blue Jays 192-68 and narrowly falling to the Mids 125-119. The Tigers earned five event victories and posted 27 top-five finishes at the Navy double-dual meet.

Freshman
Ashley Illenye impressed for the Tigers, finishing second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:15.71, the second-fastest time among active CAA swimmers. She also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle and third in the 200-yard butterfly.

Towson begins its postseason action with the two-day CAA Diving Championships which take place from Feb. 20-21 at Delaware's Rawstrom Natatorium. The CAA Swimming Championships will be held on Feb. 24-27 at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center in Richmond, Virginia.
