LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Freshman Richie Palacios went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs as Towson fell, 17-3, to New Mexico State Saturday afternoon at Presley Aske Field.
 
How it tHappened

• The Tigers (0-2) got on the board in the fourth inning as Colin Gimblet singled to third base and went to second as Cuinn Mullins was hit by a pitch.
• After an error loaded the bases, Tristan Howerton delivered an RBI single to left field.
• With two outs, Palacios delivered a two-run single to right field.
• The Aggies (2-0) quickly opened up the game in the home-half of the inning as they pushed across nine runs on seven hits.

 
Inside the Numbers

• Palacios collected a career-high three hits and drove in two runs.
• He also drew a walk and now has walked three times in the first two games of his career.
• Outfielder A.J. Gallo collected two doubles.  It marked the second-straight game Gallo has collected two hits.
• Brady Policelli added two hits and joins Gallo with back-to-back two-hit games.
• The Tigers defense did not commit an error for the second-straight game.  Towson did not go back-to-back games without committing an error during the 2015 season.
