Last Meeting Against UNCW
Towson sprinted out of the starting blocks with Usain Bolt-like speed racing to a 13-point bulge, survived a second-half rally and had three players reach double-figures during a solid 76-60 victory over UNCW on Thursday, Jan. 7 at SECU Arena. Towson's terrific triumvirate of William Adala Moto, Mike Morsell and Byron Hawkins combined for 53 points. The Tigers limited UNCW to 11 points each over the first 11 minutes and the final nine minutes of the game. The Tigers finished with 16 assists on their 21 baskets. Denzel Ingram led three UNCW players in double figures with 18 points.

Against UNCW

Seeds of Content
With a win, Towson secures the No. 3 seed in next week's CAA Tournament in Baltimore. The Tigers will either meet James Madison, William & Mary, College of Charleston or Northeastern in their quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 5 at a time to be determined. The pairings will be announced following the conclusion of the CAA's regular season schedule. UNCW will either be the top seed or the No. 2 seed depending upon the result of the Hofstra-Charleston contest.

Road Warriors
The Tigers are looking to finish with six CAA road wins for the first time since 2014.

Terrific 20
The Tigers are looking to tie the 1993-94 team with 21 victories, the second most in program history since becoming a Division I program in 1979-80. The school record for wins is 25 set by the 2013-14 team. This is the second time in three years that Towson has won at least 20 games.
UNCW and Towson are two of four CAA teams with 20 overall victories.

Three For All
Towson has three of the CAA's top 14 scorers: Adala-Moto (10th, 14.1 points per game), Hawkins (12th, 13.6) and Morsell (14th, 12.9)

Bouncing Back
Towson is the only team in the CAA not to suffer consecutive conference losses at any point during the regular season. The Tigers were 6-0 following CAA losses this season.

All We Do Is Win
Since 2012, Towson has the most CAA victories with 42.

Odd Occurrences
Twice this season, Towson watched as an opponent sank a buzzer beater that sliced a five-point advantage to a two-point winning margin. Delaware's Kory Holden made a 3-pointer and James Madison's Ron Curry sank a triple as time expired. Towson beat Delaware 79-77 on Jan. 14 and James Madison 69-67 on Feb. 25.

Terrific Thomas
Alex Thomas shined for Towson against James Madison, making both of his shots, grabbing three rebounds and finishing with four points in 11 minutes. Thomas' effort was a needed boost for the Tigers, who played shorthanded against the Dukes. Thomas blocked three shots against UNCW in the first meeting.
