Offense Silent in Loss to Blue Hose

CLINTON, S.C. – The Towson offense was kept off the scoreboard for the first eight innings before a ninth-inning rally plated two runs in a 6-2 loss to Presbyterian in the middle game of a three-game series Saturday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex.

How it Happened
  • The Blue Hose (3-2) took an early lead as they executed a double steal in the first inning.
  • PC added two runs in the second after back-to-back home runs.
  • The Tigers (0-5) offense was not able to get more than one hit in an inning until the ninth inning.
  • Richie Palacios started the inning with a walk and went to second on A.J. Galo's one-out single.  After a walk to Richard Miller loaded the bases, Cuinn Mullins drew a walk to get the Tigers on the board.  Colin Dyer followed with an RBI single to center field.
  • A flyout out end the game with the bases loaded.
  • Austin Clark (0-2) suffered the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits and four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.
