ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson women's tennis program earned the doubles points but the Naval Academy took five of the six singles matches and claimed a 5-2 victory on Sunday morning.  
 
THE BASICS

Format: Singles and Doubles (doubles count as one point)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (DOUBLES)

• The Tigers won the doubles point, sweeping all three doubles matches.
• The No. 1 doubles team of Lucy Williams and Lucy Gloninger earned a 7-6 (4) win over Amanda Keller and Claudia MacKenzie.
• A.J. Gomer and Renate van Oorschodt posted a 6-4 win over Audrey Channell and Anastasia Kondrasov at No. 2 doubles.
• The pairing of Sophie Lesage and Barbora Vasilkova wrapped up doubles action, defeating Summer Ralston and Carlee Conway 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED (SINGLES)

• Vasilkova earned the Tigers' lone singles victory as she defeated Kristine Rojo at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5.
• Keller defeated Williams at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 7-5.
• Mackenzie topped Lesage at No. 3 singles, 7-6, 6-3.
• Gomer fell to Katie Porter at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
• van Oorschodt won the first set 7-6 (5) but Conway held on to win the final two sets 6-0, 6-3.
• In the final singles match, Josie Rogers defeated Gloninger, 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (3).

Towson welcomes Duquesne for an afternoon matchup on Friday, March 4. The Tigers and Dukes face off at noon at the Green Spring Racquet Club in Lutherville, Maryland.
