TOWSON, Md. – The Towson women's tennis team makes the short trip to Georgetown for a mid-week match on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The match, slated for a 12 p.m. start, will take place in Arlington, Va.

The Tigers improved to 3-1 after sweeping a pair of matches last weekend. Towson defeated Saint Peter's 7-0 on Friday afternoon with
Lucy Williams and
Sophie Lesage posting impressive 6-0, 6-0 singles victories in the top two spots. On Saturday, the Tigers earned a 7-0 win against the University of Rhode Island as
Barbora Vasilkova secured a singles 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Georgetown opened its spring schedule with a 4-3 loss at Navy on Jan. 29. The Hoyas and Mids split the singles points with three apiece but Navy captured the doubles point to win the match.

Towson dropped a 5-2 decision to Georgetown on the road last season as
Nicole Shakhnazarova and
A.J. Gomer earned singles victories for the Tigers.

The Tigers host George Washington on Friday, Feb. 12 for a 9:30 p.m. match at the Bare Hills Racquet and Fitness Club.
