HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Towson women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Elon in a neutral site match at Hillside Courts on Sunday. The match was suspended early due to weather conditions.

HOW IT HAPPENED (DOUBLES PLAY)- Elon won two of the three doubles matches to claim the opening doubles point.
- The Phoenix won at the No. 1 spot 6-3 and at the No. 3 spot 6-2.
- The Tiger duo of Nicole Shakhnazarova and Barbora Vasilkova were up 5-2 at No. 2 doubles before the match was called.
HOW IT HAPPENED (SINGLES PLAY)- Elon took three singles matches to earn the 4-0 win before the final three singles matches were called. The Phoenix won all three matches in straight sets.
- Towson's Barbora Vasilkova won the first set 7-6(1) at the No. 3 spot. She was tied with Elon's Natalia Janowicz 4-4 in the second set when the match was called.
- Renate van Oorschodt was tied with Taylor Casey 2-2 in the first set at No. 5 singles when the match was suspended.
UP NEXTTowson travels to CAA rival Drexel on Wednesday, April 4 before returning home for a four-match home stand to close out the regular season.
