Policelli Collects Three Hits in Finale

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Towson junior shortstop Brady Policelli collected three hits in the  Tigers 9-1 loss to William & Mary in the rubber game of the three-game series Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • The Tribe (24-23, 13-7 CAA) got on the board first with a solo home run from Charles Ameer in the third inning.
  • The Tigers (18-30, 8-10 CAA) got the run back in the fourth as Colin Gimblet and Policelli singled ahead of Chris Henze's RBI single through the left side.
  • The two starting pitchers would keep both offenses silent into the seventh inning.
  • WM would be the first to get into the bullpen as they pushed across four runs in the seventh.  They got RBI singles from Kyle Wrighte and Zach Pearson, before a hit by pitch with the bases loaded and a wild pitch plated two more runs.
  • The Tribe would put the game away in the eighth after adding four more runs.
  • Austin Clark (1-4) was the tough-luck loser after allowing five runs on six hits over 6.1 innings.
  • Dan Powers (7-3) allowed just one run on five hits over three innings in the victory.
