TOWSON, Md. – After releasing the Tiger Top 10 from 2015-16 school year, TowsonTigers.com gave fans the chance to vote on their top three moments from the year.
After voting that took place last week, here are the fans' choices for the top moments from the last school year.
No. 3 – Mike Morsell Set the SECU Arena Record with 34 Points Against William & Mary
Morsell had the hot hand when the Tigers battled the Tribe on Feb. 13 in SECU Arena. He started strong scoring 15 first half points. Morsell continued his scoring assault in the second half as he poured in 19 points in the second 20 minutes. Morsell finished the game shooting 11-for-17 from the field, 4-for-7 from three and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe for the 34 points in a 99-82 win.

No. 2 – Women's Lacrosse Beat Old Dominion 16-5 for First NCAA Tournament Win
Winners of three straight, including the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) title game, the Tiger women's lacrosse team entered its NCAA First Round Tournament game looking to make history. Towson had lost each of its previous seven NCAA Tournament games. The Tigers wasted little time in proving the eighth time would be different. Towson opened up an 8-2 halftime advantage before claiming a 16-5 victory. Ten different players scored for the Tigers in the game, including
Emily Gillingham and
Natalie Sulmonte who had three goals each.

No. 1 – Men's Lacrosse Knocks Off Defending National Champion, Denver
Facing a tough challenge after having beaten Hobart in the NCAA preliminary round game just three days earlier, the men's lacrosse team headed to Denver for the first round of NCAA Tournament and did their best "David slaying Goliath" impression. The Tigers jumped out to a 5-3 lead at the half and the defense stood tall and held off a second-half run by the defending National Champs for a 10-9 upset victory.
Spencer Parks led the Tigers with four goals and two assists while
Tyler White made 13 saves, including six in the fourth quarter.
