Balanced Towson Defeats Delaware For Fourth Straight Win

NEWARK, Del. – The Towson University men's basketball team placed five players in double digits for the second consecutive game during its solid 75-58 victory over the University of Delaware in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game at the Bob Carpenter Center Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • The Tigers never trailed as they extended their winning streak to four games, a season-best.
  • Towson limited Delaware to 33.3 percent shooting.
  • Mike Morsell led a balanced Towson scoring attack with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
  • Morsell immediately set the tone for Towson as he was fouled 14 seconds into the game.
  • It was Morsell's first trip to the foul line in six games. He was 5-of-6 from the foul line.
  • Alex Thomas delivered a career best 13 points in 18 minutes.
  • Thomas was 5-for-5 from the field.
  • John Davis added 12 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.
