Towson Drops Road Tilt At Northeastern

BOSTONDeshaun Morman scored 11 points to lead the Towson University men's basketball team during its 69-62 setback to Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) game at Matthews Arena Saturday night.
 
The loss ended Towson's five-game winning streak.

How It Happened
  • Northeastern made three 3-pointers in 51 seconds during an 11-5 run in the second half to take a lead it wouldn't relinquish.
  • The Huskies made 12 consecutive foul shots over the final 71 seconds after Brian Starr's layup pulled Towson sliced Northeastern's lead to 59-55.
  • Northeastern ended its four-game losing streak.
  • Brian Starr tied the game at 45 with a 3-pointer with 8:07 remaining.
  • The Huskies took the lead for good, 48-45, 22 seconds later following a 3-pointer from Alex Murphy.
  • Towson shot 37.7 percent for the game and was 10-for-27 from the field in the second half.
  • Northeastern's T.J. Williams attempted 20 foul shots. The Huskies had 24 free throw attempts in the second half.
  • Towson, which entered the game ranked fifth nationally in free throws attempted, went to the foul line 22 times.
