A Look at the College of Charleston
The College of Charleston used a 13-0 second-half run to pull away for a 65-56 triumph at Delaware Monday night. The Cougars were paced by guard Joe Chealey with 19 points and forward Jarrell Brantley with 12 points and seven rebounds. Charleston's offense is paced by Joe Chealey (14.5 points per game), Jarrell Brantley (13.4) and Grant Riller (10.1). The Cougars are 5-2 at home and have won eight of their last nine games. Charleston leads the CAA in scoring defense (59.3), field goal percentage defense (38.3) and 3-point field goal defense (25.6). The Cougars have also won eight of their last nine games. They have also allowed less than 60 points in five of their last six games.

Gorham Leads Towson
Freshman Justin Gorham led the Tigers with eight points in their 64-44 loss to James Madison Monday night. It was a career best. He also grabbed a career high seven rebounds. It was the second time this season that Gorham grabbed at least six rebounds in a game. Gorham had six rebounds against Goucher College. In two CAA games, Gorham is averaging six rebounds per game. He had five rebounds against UNCW.

Five-Fingered Morman
Deshaun Morman leads the CAA with 1.7 steals per game. He has recorded multiple steals in five straight games for the Tigers. Over that span, Morman has collected 11 steals.

Davis Dominating
With 617 career rebounds, John Davis has passed Steffan Bunsavage and into 10th place all-time in program history.  He is the 10th player in program history with at least 600 rebounds. He needs 13 rebounds to pass Junior Hairston and into ninth place on Towson's all-time rebounding list. With 960 career points, Davis is also poised to become the seventh player in program history with 1,000 rebounds and 600 career rebounds. He would join Pat McKinley, Brian Matthews, Bobby Washington, Lawrence Hamm, Jerrelle Benimon and Larry Witherspoon on that distinguished 1000-600 list.

Troubling Trends
In its first two CAA games, Towson has committed 24 of its 33 turnovers in the first half. The Tigers have had double-digit turnovers in the opening halves of each game against UNCW and James Madison. Then during the second half of each game, Towson has combined to shoot 13-of-29 from the foul line (44.8 percent).

Savage Schedule
The College of Charleston will be the fifth opponent in Towson's last six outings that will enter the game with a winning record. Towson beat UMBC and Iona and dropped games to Nevada and UNCW. In addition, Charleston is the fourth top-100 RPI team Towson will have played over its last six games. The Cougars have a RPI of 52 entering the game. They are one of two CAA teams ranked in the top 52 in RPI. UNCW has a current RPI of 18.
