Series History: For just the second time ever, the Tigers get a chance to face the Wagner Seahawks. Last year when the two squads met in New York, the Tigers used a 13-0 run to close out the first quarter and never trailed after that en route to a 69-40 win. Towson shot 44.8 percent from the field in the game while Wagner shot 28.6 percent. Raven Bankston led the Tigers with 16 points while Tanasia Russell had 16 points for Wagner.

Clearing the Glass: Towson has found success in the rebounding battle so far this season. For the fifth straight game, the Tigers won the rebounding battle as they recorded 46 boards to Colgate's 45. Senior forward Mary Cuevas paced the Tigers efforts with a season-high 12 rebounds. Ten of the 11 Tigers that appeared in the game grabbed at least one rebound. The Tigers have won the rebounding battle by at least five in three of their first five games this season. Towson enters the week ranked fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) with a +4.6 rebounding margin.

Welcome to the Block Party: The Tigers have shown early on that they can get their hands on plenty of balls inside. Towson blocked a season-high eight shots against Colgate and have now blocked at least six shots in four of the first five games. The eight blocks by the Tigers were the most by the team in a game since they had nine during the 2014-15 season. Senior forward Mary Cuevas and sophomore forward Nukiya Mayo led the Tigers against Colgate with three blocks each. Mayo's three rejections were a career-high. Cuevas leads the Tigers on the season with 11 blocks while Mayo has six rejections.

Battling Inside: The Tigers did plenty of work inside on Sunday against Colgate. Towson scored 40 of it's 61 points in the paint. It was the most points in the paint for the Tigers since they scored 42 points in the paint against Rider last December. The Tigers are averaging 28 points in the paint so far this season.

Miss Assist: Towson redshirt senior guard Raine Bankston dished out a season-high six assists against Colgate. It was the most assists by a Tiger this season. For Bankston, it was her second game this season with three or more assists and the 14th time in her career that she has posted five or more assists in a game.

Seeing Double: Towson saw its first double-double performance of the season on Sunday against Colgate. Senior forward Mary Cuevas led the Tigers with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The 13 points tied Cuevas' season-high and the 12 rebounds were a season best for the Madrid, Spain native. Cuevas now has two career double-doubles for the Tigers.

I'll Take That: Towson hauled in eight more steals in Sunday's contest against Colgate. Redshirt senior guard Raine Bankston led the Tiger efforts with four swipes. Towson has now posted eight or more steals in four of its five games this season. Nine Tigers have recorded one or more steals so far this year. Bankston leads the way with nine steals on the year while sophomore guard Etalyia Vogt is a close second with eight swipes.
