Kendyl Scott and
Shelby Stracher homered, but it wasn't enough as the Towson University softball team dropped a pair of games, 5-4 and 8-2 to Longwood in a nonconference clash at sun-splashed and wind-whipped Lancer Field Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened Game 1
- Scott led Towson's offense with her second three-hit game of the season.
- She singled in her first two at-bats and homered in her third plate appearance.
- Scott's second homer of the season -- a solo homer to leftfield -- gave Towson a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning. It was the Tigers' last lead of the game.
- Brook Miko, who had a sacrifice fly in the third inning to give Towson a 3-0 lead, contributed a two-out single in the fifth inning.
- The day started great for Towson as Stracher launched her third homer of the season – a two-run shot over the centerfield fence in the top of the first inning.
- Cassidy Meyer had a pinch-hit single in the sixth inning.
- Longwood's Kaylynn Batten had the decisive hit, a two-run, two-out double that gave the Lancers the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- Longwood scored three runs in the bottom of the third to tie the Tigers.

- Miko extended her hitting streak to six games with a second inning single.
- Daria Edwards led off the top of the fourth inning with her sixth double of the season.
