ARLINGTON, Va. – Towson University shortstop
Richie Palacios went 4-for-5 and drove in three runs in the Tigers' 13-4 loss to George Washington Tuesday afternoon.
How it Happened

- The Colonials took the lead in the bottom of the inning after a pair of Tiger errors allowed two unearned runs to score.
- Towson gained the lead back in the second after Clark Clatchey singled with one out and Mark Grunberg singled up the middle with two outs. Palacios followed with a run-scoring single up the middle. He then stole second and Grunberg was able to score when the throw down was mishandled.

- The Colonials took the lead again in the fourth after Andrew Selby delivered a two-run double to right field with two outs.
- GW added to its lead in the sixth on a Robbie Metz RBI double and Bartosic RBI single.
- The Colonials broke the game open with two runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth.
- The Tigers broke the GW scoring run in the ninth after Clatchey drew a leadoff walk and came around to score on a Palacios double to right center.
- Palacios finished the day with four hits, including a double and a home run, and three RBIs.
- Grunberg added two hits, while Clatchey drew a pair of walks and scored twice.
- Alex Cuas (1-3) was credited with the loss after allowing four runs, two earned, over two innings.
