TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team continues a six-match home stand with a pair of weekday matchups against Morgan State and Georgetown at the Towson Center Courts. The Tigers and Bears face off on Wednesday, followed by the Tigers and Hoyas on Thursday. Â

The matchup between the Tigers and Bears is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start on Wednesday. The Tigers and Hoyas are scheduled to play "Under the Lights" at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Both matches will begin with doubles play, followed by singles play.

Updating the Tigers
Towson (7-5) snapped a two-match losing streak with the program's first-ever win over Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival College of Charleston last Saturday. The Tigers won the match's opening doubles point and held on through three third-set singles matchups to claim a 5-2 win over the Cougars.

The Tigers have four players with double-digit singles wins this season.
Lucy Gloninger leads Towson with a 13-3 overall record and an impressive 7-1 mark in dual match play. She is 9-1 in her last 10 matches and enters Wednesday on a two-match win streak. Nicole Shakhanzarova has played at the top singles flight for the Tigers this season, going 8-4 in dual match play.

Singles play is proving to be critical to the Tigers' success this season. Towson is 41-29 in dual singles play this season while just 17-15 in dual doubles play. The Tigers' doubles play is led by

Previewing the Bears
Morgan State enters Wedneday's matchup looking to rebound from a 7-0 sweep by UNCW on Saturday. The Bears fell to 4-13 overall on the season but three of their dual wins have come away from home. Kayla Price leads the Bears in singles play, holding a 10-6 dual match record while playing the majority of her matches at the No. 3 and 4 flights. She combines with Katia Jordan as Morgan State's top doubles team, going 7-7 in dual match play at the top flight.

Scouting the Hoyas
Georgetown improved to 9-4 on the season with a 6-1 win over George Mason on Monday. Risa Nakagawa and Cecilia Lynham are the Hoyas' top singles players this season. Nakagawa is 15-8 overall and 10-5 in dual match play, splitting time between the top three singles flights. She holds a perfect 4-0 record at the No. 1 singles spot. Lynham is 14-5 on the season and 10-2 in dual match play, splitting time between the No. 2-5 flights. She has played the majority of dual singles at the No. 5 flight and has a 4-2 record.

The Hoyas have used a number of doubles combinations this season with 19 different duos seeing time in dual matches. Nakagawa and Victoire Saperstein are 3-4 in dual match play at the top doubles flight, while Lynham and Drew Spinosa are 3-1 at the No. 3 doubles flight.
