TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team snapped a three-match win streak on Thursday evening, falling to Georgetown 4-3 at the Towson Center Courts.
 
How it Happened

• Georgetown won two of the three doubles matches to secure the match's opening point. Sydney Goodson and Risa Nakagawa combined for a 6-2 win over Lucy Williams and Lucy Gloninger at No. 2 doubles. Sara Swift and Madeline Foley earned a close 7-5 win over Yevgeniya Shusterman and Sophie Lesage at the third doubles flight. Towson's lone win came at the top doubles spot as A.J. Gomer and Renate van Oorschodt posted a 7-5 win over Victoire Saperstein and Casey Marx.
• At No. 1 singles, Sara Swift defeated Nicole Shakhnazarova 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-1.
• Victoire Saperstein earned a 7-6(6), 6-4 win over A.J. Gomer at the second singles flight.
• Lucy Williams posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Risa Nakagawa.
• Barbora Vasilkova defeated Cecilia Lynham 6-4, 7-5 at the fourth singles spot.
• At No. 5 singles, Sydney Goodson earned a tough three set comeback win over Renate van Oorschodt 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
• Lucy Gloninger posted a 6-4, 7-5 win over Daphne de Chatellus at No. 6 singles.
