PITTSBURGH – The Towson University women's tennis team earned a close 4-3 victory over Buffalo in a neutral site match at Alpha Tennis & Fitness on Saturday evening. The Tiger victory snapped a three-match win streak for the Bulls.
 
How it Happened

• Buffalo claimed the doubles point, winning at top two flights. Towson's lone doubles win came as Barbora Vasilkova and Lucy Gloninger combined for a 6-3 win over Laura Holterbosch and Haley Hollinsat the No. 3 flight.
• At No. 1 doubles, Tanja Stojanovska and Margarita Kotok earned a 6-4 win over A.J. Gomer and Renate van Oorschodt. That loss was the Tiger duo's first of the season in dual matches.
• At No. 2 doubles, Chantal Martinez Blanco and Anna Savchenko defeated Lucy Williams and Yevgeniya Shusterman 6-2.
• Nicole Shakhnazarova posted a 6-3, 7-5 win over Chantal Martinez Blanco at the top singles flight.
• Lucy Williams earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mercedes Losada Rubio at the third singles flight.
• Barbora Vasilkova defeated Anna Savchenko 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 4 singles flight.
• At the No. 6 spot, Renate van Oorschodt earned a thrilling 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 win over Sanjana Sudhir.
• Buffalo's singles wins came at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots. A.J. Gomer fell to Tanja Stojanovska 6-3, 6-2 at the second flight. At the fifth singles flight, Emel Abibula defeated Yevgeniya Shusterman 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-3.
