TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team earned a pair of wins on Sunday afternoon to wrap up a six-game homestand, defeating Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Hofstra 6-1 and sweeping UMES 7-0.

Towson rebounded from a pair of tough 4-3 loses to improve to 10-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play with the wins. The sweep over the Hawks gave the Tigers' its fourth sweep of the season.

- Hofstra won two of the three doubles matchups to clinch the match's opening doubles point. At No. 1 doubles, Sarah Catherine Herndon and Jasmine King earned a hard fought 7-5 win over A.J. Gomer and Renate van Oorschodt. The Pride duo of Carmen Pestano and Giulia Leone defeated Lucy Williams and Lucy Gloninger, 6-2 at the second doubles flight. Towson's lone doubles win came at the third flight as Nicole Shakhnazarova and Yevgeniya Shusterman combined for a 6-0 win over Michal Kaplan and Disha Yellayi.

Renate van Oorschodt and Sophie Lesage won by default at the third doubles flight.
