How It Happened Game One
  • Kendyl Scott and Wilson combined to go 5-for-7 in the top two spots of the Tiger lineup.
  • Scott led Towson with her third three-hit performance of the season.
  • Brook Miko and Wilson had two hits each for the Tigers, who snapped a four-game losing streak against CAA opponents.
  • The biggest play of the game was made by Holiday Cahill, Towson's all-time home run leader.
  • Cahill's beautifully placed and executed suicide squeeze bunt that traveled about four feet in front of home plate scored Wilson in the top of the seventh inning with a much-needed insurance run that expanded Towson's edge to 4-2.
  • UNCW scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings to shrink Towson's lead to 3-2.
  • Daria Edwards extended Towson's lead to 3-0 with a RBI groundout in the top of the second inning.
  • Miko gave Towson a quick 2-0 lead with a two-out, two-strike first-inning double with the bases loaded that scored Scott, who singled on the first pitch of the game, and Edwards, who walked.
  • Dejter was phenomenal in the circle as she danced in and out of trouble for most of the game with clutch pitches.
  • Dejter overcame a rough first inning in which she threw 26 pitches (10 strikes) by getting out of a bases loaded jam.
  • Kelsey Bryan and Rachel Willis had two hits each to lead UNCW.

How It Happened Game Two
  • Wilson led Towson with two hits.
  • Caroline Reid walked twice.
  • UNCW scored all of its runs with two outs.
  • After scoring once in the first inning, the Seahawks took advantage of a Tiger defensive lapse to score a pair of runs.
  • Bryan laid down a bunt, but an errant throw combined with nobody covering first base allowed her and Nella Chamblee to score.
  • Towson's final 10 batters of the game were retired after leaving the bases loaded in the fourth inning.

Diamond Gems
  • Miko started a 6-3 double play by snagging a hard-hit line drive in the first inning of the opener.
  • Cahill threw out a base runner trying to steal in the fifth inning in the opener.
  • Also in the opener, Wilson made a great play on a bunt attempt leading off the seventh. As she picked up the ball, she slipped on the dirt and managed to fire a perfect throw to first base to get the base runner by a couple of steps.
