Stockinger Extends Hitting Streak Against No. 13 James Madison

TOWSON, Md. – Nicole Stockinger extended her hitting streak to five games during the Towson University softball team's doubleheader against 13th-ranked James Madison Saturday afternoon at the Tiger Softball Stadium. Towson dropped both Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) games by scores of 15-3 and 7-0.

How It Happened Game 1
  • Shelby Stracher led Towson with two hits for her eighth multi-hit game of the season.
  • The Tigers scored all three runs in the second inning.
  • Stracher also got the Tigers on the board with her team-leading fifth home run leading off the fifth inning.
  • The blast to centerfield was Stracher's 28th career homer and second in her last four games.
  • It was Towson's fourth consecutive game with a home run.
  • Kendyl Scott added a double that scored two runs.
  • Scott leads Towson with 24 RBIs and six multi-RBI games.
  • In addition to Scott, Miko also doubled.
  • Holiday Cahill added a hit for the Tigers.
