2-Minute Drill
  • Towson returns to the friendly confines of Unitas Stadium to take on Villanova.  Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
  • Saturday's game in First Responders Appreciation Night.  All current and former first responders receive four complimentary tickets with proper ID.  All tickets for the game are just $9.11.
  • The Tigers and Wildcats are meeting for the 14th time on the gridiron.  The teams have split the last two meetings with the home team winning each game.
  • The Tigers are playing their first home game in nearly month.  They spent the previous three weeks on the road.  It was the first time they played three-straight weeks on the road since the 2005 season.
  • Towson will be looking to start conference play 0-2 for the third-straight season.
  • Towson is just 3-7 in CAA home openers.  The Tigers last win in a conference home opener came in 2013 against New Hampshire.
  • Kicker Aidan O'Neill kicked a 29-yard field goal against Stony Brook.  It marked the eighth-straight game he has made a field goal.
  • Running backs Kobe Young and C.J. Williams recorded their first rushing touchdowns in a Towson uniform at Stony Brook.
  • Turnovers have played a role in the Tigers success in 2017.  Towson is 2-0 on the season when forcing at least one turnover.
  • Villanova fell, 19-10, in overtime at Albany in its conference opener.  It marked the first time the Wildcats lost their CAA opener since losing to Towson, 31-10, in 2011.
  • Wildcat quarterback Zach Bednarczyk has thrown for 1,021 yards and six touchdowns.

  • First Responders Village
    • First Responders Village will be set up on the North Concourse in the vicinity of Gate C.
    • The 9/11 Memorial Bell and Fire Engine will be in Lot 13 for fan engagement.
  • Entering the Stadium
    • All fans entering Johnny Unitas® Stadium in 2017 will be subject to new security measures. 
    • Metal-detector wands will be utilized at all entrances into the stadium.
    • Please allow extra time to enter prior to the game.
  • Bag Policy
    • Backpacks, small purses, diaper bags, etc. will be permitted at Johnny Unitas ® Stadium and are subject to search.
    • However, any bags exceeding 14"x11"x4" will NOT be permitted in the Stadium and can be placed at claim check.
  • Claim Check
    • Claim checks will be available at the North and South gates for any items that are not permitted inside Johnny Unitas® Stadium.
    • Strollers are permitted inside Johnny Unitas ® Stadium, however, must be stored in designated areas.
  • Player Will Call
    • Towson player will call will now be located in the South Unitas ticket window located on the press box side of the stadium.
  • Bill Bateman's Bistro Tailgate in Lot 13
    • Opens 4 hours prior to kickoff. Food and beer specials go up until game time and ALL Tiger Fans are welcome, 21 and over with proper ID to drink. Once inside the stadium, fans will have the opportunity to continue to enjoy Bateman's food as they will be operating out of the concession stand on the north side of the stadium.
  • Greene Turtle on the Track
    • During the game, the Greene Turtle will be hosting fans in the east end zone of the track in the Greene Turtle Tent. The tent will open 45 minutes prior to kickoff and close at the end of the game. Food and beer specials will be available to all fans 21 and over.
  • Family Zone in East Endzone
    • Towson's new Family Zone will be located on the track in the East endzone. This year's features in the Family Zone will include a moon bounce, face painting, and photo opportunities with player cut outs and Doc the Tiger.
  • Parking
    • Permit parking (season ticket holders) are now located in lot 21 and 21a. General parking is FREE on a first-come-first-served basis for lots 13 and 14. Game day parking permits will be required to park in Lots 19, 20 and 21. Lots 13, 14 and all core campus garages and non-resident lots will be available for General Parking 4 hours prior to game time. No permit is required for these areas. Once the general parking in lots 13 & 14 near the stadium fill, general parkers will be redirected to the Union or Glen garages.
  • Student Tickets
    • No more ticket vouchers. Towson students present their OneCard when entering and all OneCards will be run through a ticket scanner to verify admission. Only valid and active OneCards are accepted. Students can use meal points at the concession stands within Johnny Unitas Stadium, however, meal equivalency use will not be allowed.
  • Tailgating
    • New tailgating maps have been added to Game Day Central, as well as the University's full tailgating policy.
  • Tents
    • Due to safety concerns, tents will be allowed in all lots EXCEPT Lot 14.
