Emilee Woodall broke a 34-year old school record for single-game saves on Friday afternoon as the Towson University field hockey team took on No. 11 Maryland in the opener of the Terrapin Invitational.

Despite Woodall's record, the Tigers fell to the host Terps 8-0 Friday afternoon at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

How It Happened
- Maryland (1-2) came out firing as Woodall made four saves for the Tigers (0-5) in the first five minutes of the game.
- The Terps got on the board in the eighth minute on Linnea Gonzales' first goal of the day. Hannah Bond and Melissa Wilken assisted on the penalty corner marker.
- Towson's defense held Maryland scoreless over the next 15 minutes, with Woodall stopping seven more shots in that span.
- The hosts took a 2-0 advantage into halftime after a Julie Duncan goal in the 23rd minute.
- Maryland scored back-to-back goals in less than a minute on Gonzales' second, assisted by Emily Thomas. Thirty seconds later, Duncan logged her second goal, unassisted.
- Lein Hobster increased Maryland's lead in the 54th minute, followed by Brooke Adler in the 58th minute.
- Carrie Hanks scored in the 59th minute before Lizzy Dessoye tallied the final goal of the game at 66:48.

- Woodall more than doubled her career-best for single game saves, with her previous high at 16.
- Maryland took 58 shots in the game, including 32 in the second half. The Terps took 20 total corners, splitting the first and second half with 10 in each frame.
