Tigers Travel to Face Delaware on Sunday

Back on the Road: The Tigers head back on the road for the start of a three-game road swing when they travel to face Delaware Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Series History:  Towson trails 53-21 in the all-time series against the Blue Hens.  The Tigers have lost five-straight in the series. The last victory on the road came on Feb. 21, 2008.

Last Time Out: Towson put an end to an eight-game losing streak to UNCW when it erased an 11-point deficit in the second quarter for the 72-71 victory.  Nukiya Mayo had 27 points and 17 rebounds, including the game-winning free throw with 2.3 left to play.

Getting Shots Up:  Towson took a season-high 80 shots in the victory over UNCW.  The 80 shots mark the most since the Tigers hoisted up 82 attempts against Loyola on Nov. 25, 2006. It ties for the most in the CAA this season.  The other team to do it is Delaware, who has done it twice this season. Four Tigers took at least a dozen shots, with Nukiya Mayo leading the way by going 12-of-24.

Controlling the Glass:  Towson pulled down a season-high 53 rebounds in the win over UNCW.  More impressively, the Tigers pulled down 26 offensive rebounds and converted them into 21 second-chance points.  Nukiya Mayo dominated the offensive glass with 14 of her 17 rebounds coming on the offensive end. 

Handing Out Assists:  Etalyia Vogt was handed out assists like it was candy on Friday.  She handed out a career-high nine assists in the victory.  It was part of an all-around game that say Vogt finish with eight points, six rebounds, nine assists and six steals.

Up Next: The Tigers head south as they travel to face Elon Friday night.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
