TOWSON, Md. - Towson University women's swimming senior
Kendall Krumenacker had a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and served as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished first as the Tigers posted a 184-109 victory over CAA rival Delaware in their home finale inside Burdick Hall on senior day.
Krumenacker was one of five seniors who were honored before the meet, joining
Danielle Clark,
Jacy Icard, Caitlin Mante and
Alison Profeta.
The Tigers won 14 of the 16 contested events with junior
Emily Wilson, sophomores
Sarah-Margaret Locke and
Jacki Schoening, and freshman
Karlee Carminati each winning two.
How it Happened
- Krumenacker won the 50 free in 24.45 seconds after teaming with junior Ryan Ulrich and sophomores Annemarie Schnoor and sophomore Megan Cowan to win the 200 free relay in a time of 1:38.42. Krumenacker and Ulrich also teamed with sophomore Kalyn Fetter and junior Tara Goss to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay.
- The team of Schoening, Manthe, Schnoor and junior Haley Sutton won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:47.82.
- Wilson won both the 1 and 3-meter diving events with scored of 252.38 and 298.50, respectively. Junior Victoria Zozzaro was second in the 1-meter while junior Kelsey Jehl was second in the 3-meter.
- Locke won the both the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:04.28 in the 500 and a mark of 10:28.78 in the 1,000.
- Schoening swept both breaststroke events, winning the 100 in 1:05.20 and the 200 in 2:23.86.
- Carminati had wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.77) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:30.73).
- In her final home meet, Clark finished second in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle.
- Schnoor won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.96 seconds and finished third in the 50.
- Sutton was first in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 58.64 seconds while finishing second in the 200 behind sophomore Meghan Jones who touched the wall first in 2:04.95. Jones was also second in the 1,000 free.
- Sophomore Maddi Mangum had two second-place finishes in the 100 back and 100-yard butterfly.
