Tigers Post Win Over Local Rival Loyola in Final Dual Meet

BALTIMORE, Md. - Led by sophomore Annemarie Schnoor who was a double winner in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle, the Towson University women's swimming and diving team won 14 out of 16 events en route to a 179-114 victory over local rival Loyola Maryland on Wednesday at Mangione Pool.

Schnoor was one of nine different Tigers who picked up a win, including junior Emily Wilson who swept the 1 and 3-meter diving events. Wilson's score of 285.60 on the 3-meter board was enough to qualify her for the 2018 Division I Women's Zone Diving Championships.

How it Happened
  • Schnoor won the 100 free in 52.93 seconds and the 200 free in 1:56.91. Junior Ryan Ulrich was second in the 100 free in 53.42 seconds while sophomore Meghan Jones was second in the 200 with a time of 1:57.22.
  • Ulrich was also part of the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay teams that finished first, joining Schnoor, sophomore Sarah-Margaret Locke and senior Kendall Krumenacker in the 200 free relay.
  • Jones touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.53.
  • Locke came in first in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.47 seconds, just ahead of junior Tara Goss who finished in 57.94 seconds.
  • Senior Caitlin Manthe finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.35 seconds and joined Ulrich, junior Haley Sutton and sophomore Jacki Schoening on the first-place 200 medley relay team.
  • Sutton took first in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.08 seconds while Krumenacker was second in 56.91 seconds.
  • Locke, Ulrich, Schnoor and Krumenacker finished first in the 200 free relay.
  • Junior Danielle Clark took home first in the 500-yard freestyle and finished second in the 1,000 behind freshman Karlee Carminati.
  • Sophomore Megan Cowan finished first in the 200-yard butterfly, followed by Locke and junior Tasha Reidenbach as the Tigers went 1-2-3. Towson also went 1-2-3 in the 200-yard individual medley led by freshman Kasey Gamache, Cowan and Krumenacker while Schnoor, Jones, Ulrich and freshman Alex Diacumakos swept the top four spots in the 200 free.
